GGC: how to display a popup.

Hi,

 

Let's say a user clicks on a cell. And presses a combination of keys with intention to trigger a popup to be displayed in the center of the grid with the cell's text being displayed in the popup.

 

 

The use case for this scenario is for cases when text length exceeds cell width so a popup is deployed to show user the full text.

 

I have looked into PopupControlContainer as a possible solution but the documentation for it is a little limited.

 

For example, it's position: If I have multiple screen and move my application to a different screen from where it initally started my popup location is still in the initial screen.

How to assign text to it.

 

How to give it a custom look and feel.

 

 

I am open for popup alternatives if there are any. Thank you

To display popup in the GridGroupingControl cell. Please make use of the following sample in the dashboard.

Sample Location : <InstalledLocation>AppData\Local\Syncfusion\EssentialStudio\<InstalledVersion> \Windows\Grid.Grouping.Windows\Samples\2.0\Layout Customization\Find-Replace Demo\cs

Thank you for coming back so quickly.

 

I looked at the sample you provided.

 

While indeed it is a popup dialog. This dialog provides input channels to the user. It has a disctinct functionality of find and a text. The popup required in my application needs to only provide output (the text that is too long and does not fit into the col width). What about PopupControlContainer. I do not see many articles on how it is supposed to be used?

Thanks for the update.

The installed location is nothing but the place where the Syncfusion Essential studio package had been installed. Mostly all the setup will be installed in a common drive (<InstalledLocation> say c:\ ). Sometimes we might have given a new location while installing the Syncfusion Essential studio setup.
