Multiple cell background changes even when background has not been set.

In our application we change the background color of the cells if it has been modified. It works fine, however, for some reason, the cells below the cell whose background changed changes its background color too. It doesn't happen everytime and our code it is not setting the background color for those cells.
It didn't use to happen in the past. But now it happens a  lot of time. And I have no fix for it.
Can you please help me with this issue?

We have tested the reported issue and unable to reproduce it . So could you please share the code snippets used in your application to set the CellBackground?. Otherwise could you please share a sample replicating the issue in your application. That would be very helpful for further analysis.
