Remove focus from a checkbox

Question

I have a set of checkboxes as a grid cell, when i check a checkbox, it is checked and focussed.
Now, i need to right click on another cell, in that case, all the selection and focus of the previously selected checkbox should be gone. I am able to fix deselection of the checkboxes but unable to remove the focus from the previously selected checkboxes.
