Hi,
I want to retrieve the back colour of a SwfObject .
Have tried the below options but no luck:
SwfObject.object.backcolour and swfobject.obect.forecolour
Please let us know, if we need to install any syncfusion dll.(attachment)

Syncfusion objects Issues_f040af76.zip
Thank you for your interest in Syncfusion products.
By default there is no property to return the back color for the ButtonAdv, but we can arrange it for you.
Please let me know the version you are using, so that we can provide you the custom assembly for the corresponding version and I hope you are using the Winforms control not WPF.
Please let me know if i misunderstood something

Hi Kalai,
Thanks for your response.
Actually , its "SwfObject" and not "SwfButton".
For few swfObjects, I am able to retrieve using object.backcolor method ,but only for that object( "Error" as in the screenshot) its retrieving "Colour [Window]" as appearing in the object spy.
Can we get the exact colour i.e "RED" from that 'ERROR' object?
Note : the Syncfusion version is 6.4.0.15
Thanks in advance
Vidhya

Thank you for the update.
Could you please let me know what control you are using in the name of "Error"? Is it a Syncfusion Control? If so please update us the swfname for that object. The object looks as 'Error' in the spy window.
It seems as a WPF control, is it?
Thanks,
Kalai
Hi Kalai,
Thanks for immediate response.
Error object is a syncfusion control. (Attachment attached for swfname)
Thanks in advance

Thank you for the update.
Is it a WPF control? because the name returns as a button, so if its a winform button then it will not return its type as swfobject.

Kalai
Hi Kalai,
I am not sure if its a wpf control.
Moreover, on what basis can we say its a WPF control, any properties?
As it shows as "swfobject', we are assuming its a syncfusion control.
Also, please explain how are the controls related to retreiving the back colour of the object.
Many Thanks
Vidhya
Is it a Web application or WindowsForms(WF)? It is because WF ButtonAdv doesn't has a property to get the backcolor of the button. But we can provide you a custom assembly with the support to get back color. Please make sure that it is WF button adv control.
Regards,
Kalai
Hi Kalai,
Thanks for the explaination.
Ours is not a web application, so looks like its a Windows Forms (WF).
Could you please provide the custom assembly to provide the back colour.
Also, can you provide the contact number to contact in case any queries.
Thanks
Vidhya
Thank you for the update.
I will get back you with the custom dll for version 6.4.0.15 before the end of May 29,2012.
Please be patience.
Regards,
Kalai
Thanks Kalai.
Thank you for your patience
We have implemented this support in the ButtonAdv, and currently it is in testing phase. I'll update you the dll for your version once testing is completed.
Please let me know if you have any concerns
Thanks
Kalai
Hi Kalai,
I understand the support dll for ButtonAdv is in testing phase . And you will update us once ready to be used.
Thanks
Vidhya
Hi Vidhya,
Extremely sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
Please find the custom dlls for version 6.4.0.15 in the following link.
http://www.syncfusion.com/downloads/Support/DirectTrac/94391/ButtonBackcolor1906598537.zip
Please replace these dlls in the following location and before replacing kindly take a backup of the original dlls.
For 32 bit machine
C:\Program Files\Syncfusion\Essential QTP\6.4.0.15\bin\2.0
C:\Program Files\Syncfusion\Essential QTP\6.4.0.15\bin\3.5
For 64 bit machine
C:\Program Files(x86)\Syncfusion\Essential QTP\6.4.0.15\bin\2.0
C:\Program Files(x86)\Syncfusion\Essential QTP\6.4.0.15\bin\3.5
I have
checked with a sample and able to retrieve the backcolor of the ButtonAdv.Please refer the attached image
http://www.syncfusion.com/downloads/Support/DirectTrac/94391/btnc-867823376.zip
Please let me know if you have any concerns

Hi Kalai,
Thanks a ton.
We will check and let you know.
But the image which you have sent shows the object is a "SwfButton" but ours is a "SwfObject."
Anyways ,we will check and let you know.
Thanks
Vidhya
Hi Vidhya,
Thank you for the update.
In my recent works with QTP I found that the windows MS button is returned as SwfObject, not the syncfusion's buttonAdv.
Please refer this image
http://www.syncfusion.com/downloads/Support/DirectTrac/95092/qtp-982933766.zip
So the control used in your application is a Microsoft Control not Syncfusion’s. Please verify the application and let me know if I am mistaken
Regards,
Kalai
