Of these two, one works for GridData column definitions

Are they both needed? or is the first one cruft?

HI Richard,

Thanks for your update.

1)“<syncfusion:GridDataVisibleColumns>” not needed.

2)You can generate visible columns of the GridDataControl by using the below code,

    <syncfusion:GridDataControl Grid.Row="1"  Name="dataGrid" ShowAddNewRow="False" AutoPopulateColumns="False" AutoPopulateRelations="False" Margin="3" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=GDCSource}" syncfusion:GridTooltipService.ShowTooltips="True">
                <syncfusion:GridDataVisibleColumn MappingName="EmployeeId" HeaderText="EmployeeId"/>

               <syncfusion:GridDataVisibleColumn MappingName="EmployeeName" HeaderText="EmployeeName"/>

Please let us know if you have any queries.

Thanks, is there any use for it at all?

HI Richard,

Thanks for your reply. Since “GridDataVisibleColumns” collection is in the same namespace, so it is displaying but there is no use of it. You have to use only the GridDataControl.VisibleColumns (i.e<syncfusion:GridDataControl.VisibleColumns>).

Please let us know if you have any queries.
