Field type of IncludeText doesn''t allow for an external filename

When inserting a field of type IncludeText there doesn't appear to be any way to specify the external file source of the bookmark. Within Word you can specify that the bookmarked contents exists in another file (see attached file)

Thank you for your interest in Syncfusion Products.

We have prepared a sample for inserting Include Text field for including external file source and updating the same through DocIO API. Please find the sample from the below link.

Usually a field consists of the following parts/entities.

1) Field Code – Specifies the field type, formatting information of the field value and other parameters/switches.
2) Field mark::Separator – Acts a separate for the Field code and text to be displayed
3) Text Range – Text to be displayed
4) Field mark::End – Specifies the end of the field.

When a field is appended using DocIO, automatically the corresponding field marks (separator and end) and text range (text to be displayed) will be added.

To update the field at the sample level the text range present between field separator and field end needs to be updated. We have performed a simple update operation for this particular field in the provided sample. Try running the same and let us know if this meets your requirement.
