Syncfusion® Releases 2017 Volume 4 Update for Developer Platform

Research Triangle Park, N.C., December 20, 2017 — Syncfusion®, Inc., the developer solutions company of choice, announced today the release of Essential Studio® 2017 Volume 4, the final quarterly update to its Developer Platform for 2017. This update includes Essential JS 2, a collection of 25 Syncfusion® JavaScript components with an emphasis on light weight, modularity, and touch friendliness, plus many more controls and features for web and mobile development.

“Tools for web development are a crucial part of cross-platform solutions, wherever your users may be. That’s why we continue to improve our UI tools for technologies like Xamarin, and continue to build multi-framework compatibility into our JavaScript components,” said Daniel Jebaraj, vice president of Syncfusion®, Inc. “The updates in Volume 4, and especially the release of Essential JS 2, maintain the Syncfusion® Developer Platform as the only web UI toolkit you’ll ever need.”

2017 Volume 4 also includes the following updates:

  • A diagram component for Xamarin.Forms, Xamarin.Android, and Xamarin.iOS.

  • Date range picker, file explorer, combo box, pager, and pivot client components for ASP.NET Core.

  • Smith chart type for the WPF chart control.

  • An image editor control for the Universal Windows Platform.

Additional notable enhancements in Volume 4 include multicolumn grouping support in the data grid for Xamarin, text and shape annotations for Xamarin charts, and right-to-left content support in rich text boxes for UWP and WPF.
