Syncfusion Announces Essential Studio 2016 Volume 3

Research Triangle Park, NC, October 11, 2016—Syncfusion, Inc., the developer solutions company of choice, is proud to announce the release of Essential Studio 2016 Volume 3. In addition to major enhancements across all supported platforms, many more controls have been added for Xamarin.Forms, Xamarin.Android, and Xamarin.iOS.

“Providing our customers with new features that greatly extend and improve the tools that they are currently using and those they plan to adopt is the foundation of our volume releases,” said Daniel Jebaraj, Syncfusion vice president. “It is this philosophy that led us to offer the unlimited flat-fee license. This license allows customers to use the features they need today, but also provides the flexibility to leverage tools such as dashboards, big data, and reporting. This saves our customers millions in software development costs and allows them to focus on development versus licensing fees.”

This third volume release of Essential Studio for 2016 brings with it new and improved features, including:

  • Expansion of its PDF viewer support, bringing this invaluable control to Xamarin.Forms and Xamarin.Android. This native HTML5 component allows PDFs to be viewed, enabling greater file-reading functionality in mobile applications.

  • Xamarin.Forms also receives new sparkline and radial menu controls, making it more robust than ever before.

  • Universal Windows Platform (UWP) receives a new docking manager, allowing an application’s visual elements to be arranged through docking, floating, tabbing, and auto-hiding, dramatically improving the aesthetics of apps across the Windows ecosystem.

  • A new document editor has been added for JavaScript, enabling the viewing and printing of Microsoft Word documents, as well as .rtf and .txt documents.

  • The new kanban control for WPF brings support for advanced visualization and management of workflows to a new platform.

  • JavaScript and UWP round out Syncfusion’s top platforms, with JavaScript receiving new spell checker and signature controls and UWP offering a new pivot client control and Excel 2016 chart support in Essential XlsIO.

Even more controls and features have been added and updated for ASP.NET, WPF, and Windows Forms, including a new tree view multiple selection feature for ASP.NET MVC, XFA support for Essential PDF in WPF, OLE object insertion support in Essential Presentation for Windows Forms, and much more.
