Syncfusion—The Smart Choice for EdTech Developers

Research Triangle Park, N.C.—July 22, 2014Syncfusion, Inc., a developer solutions company, announced today that developers for The Oaks Private School and Hurread chose Syncfusion ASP.NET and JavaScript tools for distance learning solutions.

Hurread, the initial offering of Dukette Design, is a newcomer to EdTech. The recently launched online marketplace is designed for tutors to distribute materials to students at universities and colleges, beginning with Texas A&M University in College Station and the University of Texas in Austin. The goal at Hurread is to revolutionize the distribution of educational material through the leveraging of social networking. The marketplace will help support the growing trend of hybrid learning.

Whit Waldo, board member of Dukette Design, develops all the software and applications for Hurread at his company Painting Code Software. Waldo chose Syncfusion over the competition based on a number of factors, including price and Syncfusion’s ability to support PDF. But, “the two most important things that Syncfusion provides are a reliable road map and superb technical support—the response time is also amazing,” said Waldo.

Developer Rick Deigsler also turned to Syncfusion when asked by a client, The Oaks Private School, to design a distance education solution that could organize large amounts of data, including student records and lesson plans. Using Syncfusion’s grid controls for ASP.NET and JavaScript, he created feature-rich grids that are easy to use and organize with attributes that include data binding, editing, and filtering.

Deigsler was most impressed with the time he was able to save, as the features the school needed were already coded in Syncfusion products. Saving an estimated 200 hours of development time freed Deigsler up for additional client projects and provided great cost savings to the school. Syncfusion’s quarterly updates also enable Deigsler to make quick and easy updates, continuing the savings for The Oaks Private School, which is money that can be used to enrich the student experience.

Interactive demos of many Syncfusion JavaScript controls are available at http://js.syncfusion.com/demos, and all Syncfusion JavaScript libraries and .NET components are available in Essential Studio® Enterprise Edition, which can be downloaded as a 30-day trial at www.syncfusion.com/downloads/evaluation.
