Syncfusion® today announced that all of its controls are fully compatible with ASP.NET AJAX 1.0. All Syncfusion® web controls work seamlessly with the ASP.NET AJAX UpdatePanel, as well as with the ASP.NET Client Control Library.
ASP.NET AJAX 1.0, formerly known as “Atlas,” is the newest release from Microsoft for AJAX-enabling applications. With this release, developers can take advantage of the latest AJAX capabilities, including a set of server controls and base classes that will allow developers to add even more AJAX functionality to their web applications, thereby enriching the end-users’ experience.
Syncfusion® understands and has embraced the shift in the development paradigm towards AJAX-based web development for more efficient, better performance, and an overall rich user experience. To that end, our suite is fully compatible with the AJAX 1.0 release.
Developers can easily use Syncfusion® controls in tandem with the controls provided in the AJAX 1.0 framework to add even more functionality to their applications. All Syncfusion® controls feature built-in support for callbacks wherever appropriate, and our grid controls use callbacks to sort, group, and more. Our chart control uses callbacks to support AutoRefresh, and there is also a Google Suggest-like AutoComplete control that provides a choice list in the dropdown, the contents of which are provided in a callback event based on the user input in the textbox.
AJAX 1.0 is a huge step towards bringing web applications closer to rich client application performance and usability. The UpdatePanel is a great way to easily AJAX-enable existing server-based web applications.

Additional features included in this release are Authentication for JavaScript, authentication as a web service, Behavior class, calling.asmx Web services from JavaScript, Component class, Control class, Debug class, several JavaScript extensions, ServiceMethod class, Trace class, and many other added features.
Many of the features available in ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 are included in the current version of Syncfusion® Essential Studio®.
