San Francisco, CA - November 7, 2005 - As a part of Syncfusion's long-standing relationship with Microsoft, the .NET Framework component vendor is participating in the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 launch as a Silver Sponsor. To coincide with the launch of Visual Studio 2005, Syncfusion is also pleased to announce the rapidly approaching release of Essential Studio® 4.0, which will include full support for Visual Studio 2005. Syncfusion's comprehensive suite of ASP.NET and Windows Forms libraries offers developers working with this advanced platform technology the opportunity to accelerate the development cycle while building quality into their applications.
Throughout the Visual Studio 2005 beta process Syncfusion has worked closely with Microsoft's early access programs to ensure that its products take full advantage of the latest technological advances.
"Microsoft is pleased that Syncfusion will support Visual Studio 2005, enabling developers to be more productive," said John Montgomery, director in the .NET Developer Product Marketing Group at Microsoft Corp. "Syncfusion has built its solutions with the needs of our mutual customers in mind, making them equally valuable to individual developers and members of large project teams."
"We are very excited about the release of Visual Studio 2005 and the upcoming release of Essential Studio® 4.0. The new features that we have built into Essential Studio® 4.0 will enable developers working with Visual Studio 2005 to take further advantage of the new platform," said Syncfusion CEO, Stefan Hoenig.
The latest version of Syncfusion Essential Studio® builds upon the IDE and functionality enhancements offered by the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework and Visual Studio 2005.
Essential Studio® enables developers to quickly and easily add sophisticated grid, advanced user interface, grouping, charting, diagramming, Microsoft Excel reporting, formula support, PDF creation, enhanced editing, HTML-rendering, and many more capabilities to Windows Forms and ASP.NET-based applications.
Essential Studio® 4.0 will capitalize on Visual Studio 2005 with a whole new set of controls including, but not limited to, Ajax-enabled charting, advanced menus, rotator, and an Ajax-enabled grid. There is complete support for ASP.NET 2.0 features including the Callback framework, which Syncfusion's controls make full use of to provide cutting-edge AJAX-like functionality to update their contents. Also supported are the Skins framework and Web Parts integration.
Syncfusion's controls currently support data-binding to both 1.X and 2.0 data sources. For example, developers working with Essential Studio® can choose to bind to a 1.X data source if they wish to display hierarchical data in Syncfusion's grouping grid. In addition, Essential Studio® 4.0 will provide for seamless resource integration.
Enhancements to Syncfusion's Windows Forms offerings include support for Visual Studio 2005 Smart Tags functionality within Essential Chart, Essential HTMLUI, and many of the controls in Essential Tools. Smart Tags have been added for accessing the most commonly used pieces of functionality when developing with these Syncfusion controls. Developers will appreciate the ability to continue with their development without having to navigate through the Properties windows and menus.
Syncfusion has invested significant effort in ensuring that each of its components work seamlessly with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, making Essential Studio® a valuable resource to developers working with the .NET Framework 2.0.
