Metro Studio Update Coming Soon | Syncfusion Blogs
Detailed Blog page Skeleton loader

Syncfusion Metro Studio, the immensely popular collection of modern UI icon templates, will soon be receiving a significant update that includes more than 1,500 wireframe-style icons. With this update, the first in nearly a year, the number of available icons will exceed 5,500.

Since its debut in 2012, Metro Studio has been loved by more than 150,000 people who have used its icon templates in everything from enterprise apps, to hobbyist mobile projects, to PowerPoint presentations and PDF reports. Syncfusion originally built Metro Studio to address the icon requirements in Windows Phone development, keeping in mind developers who were more skilled at hacking out code in Visual Studio than doodling away in Adobe Illustrator. Immediately upon its release, Metro Studio enabled Windows Phone developers around the world to give their applications a uniform, professional look with minimal effort.

The modern, minimal design principles used on the Windows Phone platform have since spread across the tech landscape. All the popular desktop and mobile operating systems now have restrained, simplified UIs, and this paradigm has had a far-reaching influence on web design as well. A more recent trend has been the use of wireframe-style icons which look like even simpler, slimmed-down versions of Windows UI icon designs. Many Metro Studio users have sent us requests for such icon templates.

With this update to Metro Studio, we’re adding more than 1,500 wireframe-style icons. In future releases, we will add even more. Here is a small preview of some of the icons:
