My Current Role

I currently work as the Product Owner for the Document Editor in Essential Studio. My role revolves around two key areas: people and the product. On the people side, I focus on building a strong team, understanding individual challenges, and helping team members grow through clear guidance and support. On the product side, I work closely with customer feedback, market trends, and emerging technologies to define the product vision, prioritize goals, and guide execution. My role is to bring these two aspects together, building a capable team while ensuring the product continues to evolve in line with customer needs and market expectations.

My Experience Throughout My Journey

This could include my life experiences, challenges overcome, personal growth, and lessons learned.

About Me

I am a calm and thoughtful person who enjoys mentoring others and supporting their growth. I like to think through different possibilities before making decisions and believe in letting my work speak for itself.

My friends often described me as a typical first bencher because I was focused and disciplined in everything I did. Once I commit to something, I stay dedicated and put in the effort needed to see it through. That sense of commitment has remained one of my defining qualities over the years.

Key Learnings and Challenges

When I moved into the Product Manager role, I was technically strong, but adapting to broader leadership responsibilities was a new challenge. The team was still in its early stages, and I quickly realized that building a strong team could not be rushed. Instead of focusing only on immediate results, I chose to mentor them step by step, offering the guidance and support I wished I had received when I started my own career.

Watching many of those team members grow into managers and leaders has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.

Along the way, I was also entrusted with several challenging responsibilities that strengthened my confidence and helped me grow both as a professional and as a leader.

The biggest lesson I have learned is that meaningful results take time. Building products is important, but building people is what creates lasting success. With patience, empathy, and consistent effort, even the most challenging situations can become opportunities for growth.

My Perspective on Leadership

Leadership, to me, is about creating an environment where both people and ideas can thrive. One of the most important qualities of a leader is continuous learning. The more we learn, the better equipped we are to guide our teams, offer new perspectives, and help solve problems effectively.

Patience is equally important. Meaningful progress does not happen overnight, whether it is building a product or helping people develop their skills. A leader should think beyond solving today’s problem and instead focus on creating systems and habits that prevent the same challenges from recurring.

I also believe that leadership is about working alongside the team, understanding the challenges they face, and guiding them through difficult situations. Sometimes, simply sitting down with a team member, exploring solutions together, and investing your time can make a lasting difference.

When people know their leader genuinely cares about them and is willing to support them, they naturally become more confident, engaged, and motivated.

My Advice to Young Minds

My advice to young professionals is to treat the early years of your career as the time to build a strong foundation. Just as every stage of life has its own purpose, the beginning of your career is the time to learn, develop your skills, and gain meaningful experience. The stronger your foundation, the more opportunities you create for yourself in the future.

In those early years, focus less on immediate comfort and more on continuous learning. Instead of measuring success only by your salary or designation, invest in skills that will stay with you throughout your career. They will give you the confidence to grow, adapt, and make the most of new opportunities.

I also believe that a strong foundation makes it easier to achieve work-life balance. As your knowledge and confidence grow, you gain greater control over your career and can make more time for the people and moments that matter most. Learning is the best investment you can make in your future.

Work Life Balance

For me, maintaining work-life balance begins with planning and building consistent routines. When everyday activities are organized well, they gradually become habits, making it easier to manage both work and personal life without unnecessary stress.

I also try to be disciplined about my working hours. Instead of letting work extend late into the day, I focus on planning effectively, working efficiently, and giving my full attention to the task at hand so I can complete it on time and make space for my personal commitments.

Over time, this structured approach has become a habit. It helps me stay productive at work while ensuring I have dedicated time for learning, family, and the other aspects of life that matter to me.
