The Right Guide
The best help I received wasn’t an answer - it was a different way of thinking.
One Joke
One joke from my teammates somehow became part of my identity…
The Lesson
Watching one person handle pressure differently taught me an important lesson…
13+ Years
My Current Role
I am responsible for ensuring the stability of our products. My focus is on making sure what we build is reliable and works as expected.
My Experience Throughout My Journey
This could include my life experiences, challenges overcome, personal growth, and lessons learned.
About Me
I am a jovial and calm person who prefers to keep things positive and balanced. I don’t get angry easily and believe in handling situations with clarity.
In my role, I take responsibility for managing challenges and try to protect my team from unnecessary pressure. I also keep a clear boundary between work and personal interactions—staying focused on work while being relaxed and approachable otherwise.
I value simple, meaningful connections and keep my circle small. My wife is my closest companion, and I prefer a simple, quiet life.
My Career Journey
I didn’t grow up with a clear dream, but during my 10th standard, watching the movie ‘April Madhathil’ sparked my interest in pursuing MCA. In the film, the hero studies MCA, and that left a strong impression on me. Even without fully understanding the field, I decided to follow that direction.
After completing my MCA, entering the IT field was not easy, as opportunities were limited. I took up work in a metal-based company, handling multiple responsibilities. There was even a chance to move abroad, but I chose to stay aligned with my goal and decided to leave that path.
Later, a friend came across an advertisement in ‘The Hindu’ newspaper about a walk-in interview at Syncfusion. A group of about 12 of us attended the interview together, and many of us got selected. I joined Syncfusion in May 2013, and it became a turning point in my journey.
Moments that Make Me Smile
One memory from my early days at the office still makes me laugh whenever I think about it. One of my friends shared a video of me dancing in college. In that video, I had danced to a song of Actor Surya, and from that day on, my team started calling me “Surya” instead of “Sathees”. No matter how much I tried to convince them, the name just stuck.
On my birthday, they took it a step further. Instead of one cake, they brought two—both with the name “Surya” written on them – and asked me to cut them at the same time, one in each hand. The whole moment felt like a complete comedy scene, and I couldn’t stop laughing.
Even now, when I think about it, it brings a smile. It was a simple moment, but having the entire team together made it even more special.
A Message From My Journey
One thing I strongly believe in is staying the same in every situation. Whether things are going well or becoming difficult, it is important to remain balanced and not let emotions take over.
If someone praises you, don’t get carried away. If someone criticizes you, don’t let it bring you down. Both are part of the journey, and learning to handle them with the same mindset makes a real difference.
Over time, I have come to see that everything – good or bad – is part of the process. Staying grounded through it all is what truly matters.
Knowledge is easily available today, but commitment is what makes the real difference.

Additional insights into my interests, experiences, and traits that shape my journey and perspective.
Gratitude Along the Journey
I feel truly grateful to Sridhar Narasimhan for the role he has played in my journey.
From him, I learned how to balance work and team culture. At work, he was clear about responsibilities and expectations, while also creating an environment where the team felt relaxed and connected. That balance made a significant difference in how we worked together.
At different stages, he provided opportunities that helped me grow and move forward. The trust he placed in me, along with the responsibilities he gave, played an important role in my development, both professionally and personally.
Looking back, these experiences have greatly shaped where I am today.
What Success Means to Me
For me, success is simple—it is about taking up a responsibility and completing it properly.
Whether in work or personal life, once I decide to do something, I focus on seeing it through. It is not just about starting, but about staying committed and finishing it.
It could be something small or something that takes time, but what matters is staying consistent and completing it with a sense of satisfaction.
How the Journey Shaped Me
In the early stages of my journey, feedback often left me feeling worried and uncertain. Even after putting in effort, I would question myself—"Did I do this properly?" It was easy to overthink and take things personally.
Over time, this began to change. I learned to accept feedback without reacting emotionally and focused on understanding the intent behind it. This shift helped me develop a broader perspective, especially in understanding expectations—where even a small gap can make a task feel incomplete.
Gradually, this journey shaped my mindset. I became more patient and open to feedback and learned to understand and accept it. I now approach situations with greater clarity.
What Stayed Since Childhood
I believe in being honest and doing justice to any responsibility I take up. Once something is entrusted to me, I feel a strong sense of ownership.
Over time, this has shaped the way I approach work. For me, it’s not just about completing a task, but about doing it fairly and giving my full effort.
As I moved into leadership, this mindset extended beyond my own work to the team as well. This mindset has remained consistent, even as my role evolved.
Finding a Sense of Belonging
From the moment I entered the IT field, I felt I was on the right path. Joining Syncfusion made that feeling even stronger.
As I became part of Syncfusion, I experienced a supportive environment. I also had the opportunity to learn new and advanced technologies, which helped me grow continuously and strengthened my learning curve.
Looking back, I feel it has been truly meaningful to be part of Syncfusion, which has played a significant role in shaping the life I live today.
Bouncing Back From Tough Times
When I face challenges, I stay with the problem and work through it until I find a way forward.
While working on the Image Editor control, which was new and complex, I faced several difficulties. During that phase, Jagannath was a strong support. We worked closely, planned our progress day by day, and stayed committed even during late hours. His positive mindset—never seeing anything as impossible—made it easier to handle the challenges.
In the early stages, Harikaran helped me approach problems differently. Whenever I was stuck, he guided my thinking instead of giving direct answers, which helped me find solutions on my own.
For me, handling tough situations comes down to staying committed and getting the right support when needed.
Values I Live By
One value that strongly defines me is the instinct to help others. Whenever someone asks for help, I find it difficult to say no and try to do something, even if it is small.
This carries into everyday situations as well. I try to offer whatever I can in that moment. These small acts may seem simple, but they give me a sense of fulfillment.
People Who Inspired Me
My biggest inspiration is MS Dhoni. What I admire most about him is his ability to stay calm in any situation. No matter the pressure, he remains composed and rarely lets emotions take over—a consistency I deeply respect.
Another quality that stands out is his sense of responsibility. When things go well, he doesn’t take credit, but when things go wrong, he takes it upon himself. That balance of humility and accountability is something I strive to learn from.
These qualities—calmness, humility, and responsibility - are what make him a lasting influence on me.
My Perspective on Leadership
For me, leadership begins with understanding people. Everyone is different, and a single approach will not work for everyone. Recognizing these differences and adapting accordingly is essential.
It is also important to understand each person’s strengths and assign work based on their potential. When responsibilities are aligned with individual strengths, it leads to better outcomes and supports their growth.
Life Beyond Work
Outside of work, I spend most of my free time watching movies or going out on weekends. I also enjoy taking my kids to the park and spending time with them.
I make time to stay updated by exploring platforms like LinkedIn.
