My Current Role

I currently work as the Product Owner for Bold Reports Viewer and Server. My role is to understand our customers’ needs and translate them into a clear direction for the engineering team. Every feature we build should solve a real customer problem, so helping the team understand the purpose behind what we’re building is just as important as planning the work itself. I also spend a significant part of my time working closely with the team, ensuring they have the clarity, support, and motivation they need to succeed. I’ve always believed that happy engineers build great products, and great products create happy customers.

My Experience throughout My Journey

This could include my life experiences, challenges overcome, personal growth, and lessons learned.

About Me

If I had to describe myself beyond work, I would say I’m someone who finds purpose in giving back to society. Over the years, I’ve been involved in social initiatives such as traffic awareness campaigns, tree-planting drives, and turtle conservation walks. Each experience taught me that even small efforts can make a meaningful difference.

That belief eventually led me and a few friends to start visiting children’s homes and old-age homes, where we spent time with the residents and supported them in whatever way we could.

For nearly a decade now, I’ve been volunteering at an old-age home in Pallikaranai. My weekends are often spent helping with daily activities, sharing meals, and simply being there for the residents. Over time, they have become more than people I volunteer with—they’ve become an extended family.

Outside of volunteering, I enjoy playing chess and carrom and have competed at the district level. Above all, I find the greatest happiness in making a positive difference in someone else’s life.

My Career Journey

My career began during a challenging period for the IT industry, when campus opportunities were limited. While technical interviews weren’t difficult for me, communicating my abilities with confidence often was.

When I joined Syncfusion as a Software Developer, I came from a biology background with very little exposure to technologies like C#. With no structured onboarding, I was assigned directly to a product, making every day a learning experience. I spent countless hours reading, discussing ideas with teammates, and learning through hands-on work. Those early months taught me the value of perseverance and self-learning.

As I grew, so did the product. What began as a Report Viewer evolved into Bold Reports, expanding across multiple platforms. I had the opportunity to contribute to every stage of its journey, from development and documentation to product strategy and growth.

Looking back, joining Syncfusion was one of the best decisions I’ve made. It gave me the confidence, ownership, and freedom to grow while shaping the way I build products and solve problems.

Key Learnings and Challenges

The early years of my career were filled with challenges that became some of my greatest learning experiences. Release cycles were largely manual, and every build demanded tremendous effort. During major releases, spending days and nights in the office was common, but those moments taught me the value of perseverance and teamwork.

What made those times special was our culture of collaboration. Regardless of their role, everyone was approachable and ready to help. Whether it was a manager or a general manager, people worked alongside the team, discussed ideas openly, and focused on finding solutions together. That environment taught me the importance of shared ownership.

One lesson that has stayed with me throughout my career is how we handled mistakes. The immediate focus was always on solving the problem. Once things had settled, we would reflect on what went wrong and how we could prevent it from happening again. Having the space to think, learn, and improve without fear has stayed with me ever since.

My Personal Achievement

To me, one of the greatest achievements in life is knowing that I’ve been able to bring a smile to someone else’s face.

Over the years, what began as a small personal effort grew into a community of friends who shared the same desire to give back. One of the moments I’ll never forget was our visit to a children’s home. We spent the day playing cricket, talking, and laughing with the children. We didn’t take any gifts—we simply spent time with them.

As we were leaving, a little boy asked, “Everyone who visits brings us things, but you’re the first people who actually played with us. Will you come back next week?”

That one question has stayed with me ever since. It reminded me that the most meaningful gift we can give isn’t something we buy—it’s our time, our presence, and making someone feel seen and valued. Knowing that such a simple act could leave a lasting impact on a child is, and always will be, one of my greatest achievements.

My Advice to Young Professionals

One piece of advice I'd give young professionals is to learn to love the work you do. Not every task or role will match your expectations, but when you approach it with curiosity and commitment, you'll often discover opportunities to learn, contribute, and grow in ways you never expected.

Be open to change, whether it's joining a new team, taking on unfamiliar responsibilities, or stepping outside your comfort zone. Every new experience teaches you something valuable if you're willing to embrace it.

I've found that happiness at work doesn't always come from doing exactly what we want. More often, it comes from giving our best to what we're doing, finding purpose in it, and making the most of every opportunity that comes our way.
