One of the toughest situations I faced was during a Microsoft LightSwitch release. The application worked during development but failed after deployment, and I had very little experience handling such issues at the time. Since the release was critical, I spent an entire Saturday with a friend who had relevant expertise, exploring different solutions until we finally resolved it. The experience taught me the value of seeking help, staying committed, and not giving up when the path forward is unclear. 

A similarly demanding experience came while working on Mac Core, a platform that was completely new to our team. We underestimated its complexity, which led to repeated build failures and unexpected issues. For nearly a month, we worked long hours to understand the platform, fix the problems, and stabilize the system. It remains one of the most challenging phases of my career and reinforced the importance of ownership, patience, and continuous learning. 

When I think about my proudest personal achievement, it is becoming the first graduate in my family and building a career through that opportunity. For me, the achievement goes beyond earning a degree or getting a job. It is about the difference it created in how I was perceived by the people around me. 

Growing up, there were many who hardly noticed me. But after completing my education and starting my professional journey, I began to see a change in the way people approached and recognized me. That shift made me realize the value of education and how it can transform not just an individual’s future, but also the way society sees them. 

Looking back, that journey from being overlooked to being recognized remains one of the most meaningful achievements in my life. 

Over the years, I have learned the importance of understanding people and taking ownership of my responsibilities. Working closely with customers, colleagues, and teams taught me that every situation and every person requires a different approach. Rather than reacting the same way to everyone, I learned to listen, understand their perspective, and communicate accordingly. 

These experiences also taught me the value of accountability. Whether it is a delay, a mistake, or an unexpected challenge, I believe in acknowledging it, communicating openly, and focusing on finding a solution. This mindset has shaped the way I work and interact with others, making me more adaptable, responsible, and thoughtful in both my professional and personal life. 

As I grew older, I realized that people will always have different opinions about how we should present ourselves, behave, or make decisions. Earlier, I paid more attention to those expectations, but over time I understood that it is impossible to satisfy everyone. 

What matters most is being comfortable with who we are and staying true to ourselves. Today, I focus less on external opinions and more on what feels right and genuine to me. This shift in perspective has helped me become more self-aware, comfortable in my own choices, and confident in the way I approach life. 

I have learned that people cannot be managed using the same approach. Every individual works differently. Some people take ownership and complete their work without much follow-up, while others need regular guidance and encouragement to stay on track. 

Because of this, I believe a leader's role is to first understand the people they work with. Following up too much with someone who is already responsible can create unnecessary pressure, while giving complete freedom to someone who needs support may not help them succeed. A good leader should be able to recognize these differences, communicate clearly, and adapt their approach based on the individual. For me, effective leadership is largely about understanding people and handling them in a way that helps them perform at their best. 

I feel especially grateful for my office friends, particularly Manikandan, Ezhil, and Kalpana, who have been a constant source of support throughout my journey. What I value most about our friendship is the comfort and openness we shared. We could talk about anything, not just work, and there was never any hesitation or formality between us. 

Their presence made the workplace feel more enjoyable and helped create a sense of belonging. Looking back, many of my fondest memories at work are connected to the time I spent with them, and I am truly grateful to have had such genuine friendships along the way. 

When I think about moments that still make me smile, my mind immediately goes back to the lunch breaks we shared in the office before COVID. Almost every day, around 10 to 12 of us would gather for lunch, and that one hour was never just about food. It was filled with conversations, laughter, friendly debates, and discussions about everything from work to everyday life. 

What made those moments special was not the lunch itself, but the people. No matter how busy the day was, that time brought everyone together and gave us something to look forward to. Beyond lunch, there were Friday outings, weekend plans, and movie nights that created many memorable experiences. 

Looking back, it was a phase filled with friendship, fun, and togetherness. Even today, thinking about those moments brings a smile to my face.
