Hello,
Is it possible to ignore scrolling when the SfComboBox is not dropped down? I'd like to be able to scroll the list view once it's dropped down but ignore scroll events on top of a non-dropped down SfComboBox.
A solution for the built-in ComboBox exists: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/1882993/c-sharp-how-do-i-prevent-mousewheel-scrolling-in-my-combobox
Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work with SfComboBoxes.
Thank you,
Robert van der Leek

Hi, Any update on this?
Hi Trieu Nguyen,
We are currently working on this feature and it is in progress. Once the development is completed, we will inform you as soon as the feature is released. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

What are the odds, I am searching for this today and finds out that the latest update on this was yesterday! I tried to intercept window messages and other shenanigans, but failed to turn off setting current item with the mouse wheel. I also hope that mouse wheel actions when hovering a sfComboBox will not stop scrolling of the parent control.
Hi Anders,
Would you kindly verify if the mentioned scenario we described matches the feature we created? If they are not the same, please provide further details about your query and, if possible, share a sample and video for reference.

Please tell me what you created to prevent changing value when scrolling the parent of a sfComboBox.
I expect a property of the sfComboBox that would prevent that from happening and just let the parent scroll as expected.

Hi Anders Linden,
Please utilize the MouseWheel Event to prevent value changes when scrolling the parent of a sfComboBox by using HandledMouseEventArgs. Please refer the attached sample for your reference.

Hi Priyanka Vijayasankar,
I have implemented your suggestion. When I set DropDownStyle to DropDown, it works as expected, and the SelectedIndex doesn't change when scrolling. However, when I change DropDownStyle to DropDownList and scroll on the ComboBox, an exception is thrown in your DLL:
An unhandled exception of type 'System.StackOverflowException' occurred in Syncfusion.SfListView.WinForms.dllAn unhandled exception of type 'System.StackOverflowException' occurred in Syncfusion.SfListView.WinForms.dll
I'm not sure what is causing this issue. Could you help me investigate it on your side?
Thank you!
Best regards,
Trieu Nguyen
Hi Trieu Nguyen,
We are able to reproduce the mentioned issue from our side. We will check and update on or before June 14th, 2024. We appreciate your patience until then.

Hi Priyanka Vijayasankar,
I hope this message finds you well.
After upgrading to version 26.1.35, I've noticed an issue with the SfComboBox dropdown list on high DPI screens (with resolution 250%). Specifically, the item heights are too small, as shown in the attached image.
This issue was not present in the previous version (24.2.3), where the dropdown list worked as expected.
Could you please look into this issue and provide a fix at your earliest convenience? Your assistance in resolving this matter promptly would be greatly appreciated.
Additionally, this problem also affects the SfComboBox when it is in MultiSelection mode.
In the meantime, could you assist me in downgrading to the previous version?
Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
Trieu Nguyen
Hi Trieu Nguyen,
We will check and include the fix in the upcoming weekly NuGet which is scheduled on June 19th, 2024 . We appreciate your patience until then.

Hi Trieu Nguyen,
We are unable to reproduce the reported issue based on the given information. Please refer to the attached sample and screenshot provided for your reference.
Could you please share a modified sample that replicates the issue so that we can better analyze the issue and provide a solution?
Regards,
Priyanka Vijayasankar
Hi Priyanka Vijayasankar,
I have tested your sample, and it is working well.
Here is my sample, written in a VSTO Addin. When you run it, please click the "Add-in" tab on the Ribbon bar and click the "Open" button to open the form.
You should then change the screen resolution scale to 250% (or possibly smaller, I haven't tested those), the item height in the dropdown becomes too small.
This issue was not present in the previous version (24.2.3), where the dropdown list worked as expected.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Trieu Nguyen
