Cut/Paste file from parent folder to sub folder using toolbar

Hello,

I'm attempting to cut a file from a parent folder and past it into a subfolder of the same parent folder using the available tool bar "Cut" and "Paste" options.  In my application no controller action is triggered from the control.  The demo located at https://ej2.syncfusion.com/react/demos/#/bootstrap5/file-manager/overview also does not seem to allow this.

In the demo:

Select the Documents folder.  Create a new sub folder in the Documents folder.  Select a file in the documents folder and then select the Cut toolbar options.  Select the new sub folder and then select the Paste option in the toolbar.

The file remains in the parent Documents folder and does not move to the new subfolder.

The difference is that the user expects to select the new folder (single click) then click the paste button.  Not double click into the folder before performing the paste.

It seems this is not the intended use for this

Hi Tony,

Thanks for your patience.

We have validated your requirement in File Manager. But this is the default behavior of the File Manager component. The FileManager component's behavior is similar to that of Windows Explorer. By following the mentioned steps, we were able to replicate the exact scenario in Windows Explorer as well. Check the below video footage for behavior.

Unfortunately the control does not notify the user that the operation is invalid.  It does not post to the controller in this scenario for validation.  This can also be witnessed at:

Upgrading to the specified version results in the license warning displaying per this post:

Hi Tony,

As mentioned in our forum updatewe have introduced license key validation for Essential JS2 platforms from the 2022 Volume 1 release. This licensing key validation will enforce the developer to register the valid licensing key in an application while referring to any of the latest packages, either from npm or CDN or build.

For generating and registering a license key please refer to the following documentation.

https://ej2.syncfusion.com/react/documentation/licensing/license-key-generation/
