When the software you’re trying to build has to be presented in a very specific way and interact with some of the most popular software in use today, finding components that do both seamlessly is like treasure hunting when you’re not sure that “X” on the map isn’t actually a decorative seagull.
César Burbano of BSoft was trying to develop software for strategic planning and managing processes using ASP.NET MVC. In his quest for suitable controls, he was forced to discard a diagram component from one vendor that wouldn’t work in HTML, and a Gantt control from another that wouldn’t export to Excel.
“For one project, I needed controls that could work with input like Microsoft Project does,” said Burbano. “But I also needed them to be friendly and easy to work with, like Syncfusion’s Gantt control ended up being.”
After extensive hunting through other vendors’ offerings, Burbano decided that Syncfusion’s Gantt, spreadsheet, and diagram controls were the X marking the spot, after all. He estimates that his team saved 60% of their development time by using them. “Really, Syncfusion is very good,” he said.
