Overview
In this video, we will explore the features of the Syncfusion® Blazor Mention component, an autocomplete-like tool designed to tag or select names from a suggestion list. The component opens a list when a user starts typing the ‘@’ character, just like social media platforms. It is commonly used in messaging systems, comment sections, email fields, and forms to simplify selection.
The Blazor Mention component displays a filtered list of suggestions as text is entered. It integrates seamlessly with TextBoxes and Rich Text Editors, supporting multiple selections and smooth navigation through list options using keyboard support. Easily bind both local and remote data to the Mention component. Built-in filtering ensures relevant suggestions based on input, and options can include icons, images, or additional details for better visualization.
Suggestions can be sorted and organized into categories in ascending or descending order. A loading indicator provides a seamless experience when retrieving data. Matched text can be highlighted, input length can be restricted, item counts can be limited, and a custom message can be displayed when no records are available.
With a responsive design, the Blazor Mention component works seamlessly across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. It is accessible, supports WAI-ARIA attributes, and full keyboard interaction. Right-to-left (RTL) support ensures compatibility with languages like Arabic and Hebrew. Additionally, built-in themes like Material, Bootstrap, and Tailwind CSS provide a consistent look, while CSS customization allows further styling adjustments.
