Hi,
today I updated Syncfusion from 19.4 to 20.2 on my Work-Client (Windows 10 20H2 in a Win-AD-Network).
Used user: local user, the Windows-Predefined-Administrator (normally is this user deactivate)
After install, I can't start the Essential Studio Control Panel from start menu, but the process is started (I check the taskmgr).
I try this with another local user with admin-privileges: it is going.
Is there a bug in exe?
For me, only once difference between these two users, Win-Predefined-Administrator has no Internet-Access, the other local-user has this.
Have anybody a idea?
many greetings
Daniel
P.S.: sorry my english is not so good :)
Hi Daniel,
There is no need for an internet connection for using the Syncfusion Control Panel application, this will work without the internet also.

After the Syncfusion Essential Studio is installed, the Syncfusion ToolBox controls are automatically configured in the Visual Studio. In some cases, the ToolBox is not configured in the Visual Studio ToolBox. The following cases explain how to resolve the ToolBox configuration issues.
When the Syncfusion Essential Studio is installed before installing the Visual Studio, then the Syncfusion controls are not configured automatically. In that case, click the Recheck option located at the bottom of the corresponding version of the Syncfusion Dashboard and then run the Toolbox Installer utility from the Dashboard.
When the Syncfusion Essential Studio is installed after the installation of the Visual Studio and the Syncfusion ToolBox controls are not configured, then the following steps helps resolve the issue.
Close all the Visual Studio Running instances.
Remove the hidden *.tbd files except the toolbox.tbd from the following locations.
Windows XP:
Location: {Drive:}\Documents and Settings\(User name)\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\VisualStudio\{Version}
Example: C:\Documents and Settings\(User name)\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0
Vista/Windows 7:
Location: {Drive:}\Users\{User name}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\{Version}
Example: C:\Users\{User name}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0
To show the hidden items in the Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7:
Folder properties window and select "Show Hidden files and folder" option.
Location: {Drive:}\Users\{User name}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\{Version}
Example: C:\Users\{User name}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0
To show the hidden items in the Windows 8/8.1:
Run the ToolBox Installer utility from the Syncfusion Essential Studio Dashboard.
Toolbox Installer option in Syncfusion Dashboard.
Reopen the Visual Studio Environment.
Now, the Syncfusion ToolBox controls are configured in the Visual Studio ToolBox.
