Gantt Parent task with resource allocation

When I create a resource view gantt chart, with subtasks. Only the child (leaf) resources appear in resource view. In the example and attached image, the resource "Joe" is a parent with subtasks, and I believe it should appear in the gantt

I would expect to be able to allocate a resource to parent element and have it show in the resource view.

When I remove subtask property it appears.

From our understanding, we hope your requirement was assigning the resources to parent task in resource view. We would like to inform you that, a parent task is a summary of its child tasks in project view. Hence, it is not rendered in resource view. In resource view, resources are considered as parent and tasks assigned to the resources are considered as its child tasks.
