Syncfusion Reference Manager shows blank screen on Class projects

I am trying to develop a class library project that has a user control with a SfDataGrid and utilizes the XlsIo.

In the solution explorer, when I right-click on Reference to bring up the Syncfusion Reference Manager, it appears as a blank screen.

If I perform the same steps for a Winforms project, the Syncfusion Reference Manager appears.

Why doesn't the reference manager work for class projects?

Hi bob larranaga,

We are little unclear about the reported issue. However we have opened the Syncfusion Reference Manager by clicking the class Library  project and by clicking references and it works fine. Can you please provide more details mentioned below.

  1. Provide the Syncfusion version which you are using.
  2. Can you please provide the video illustration to replicate the issue.
  3. Provide details about the framework version.
  4. Provide details about Visual Studio version.

It will be more helpful for us to find the cause and to provide you the prompt and timely solution.

Hi Shaun,

We've reviewed the problem you reported with our Syncfusion Reference Manager tool. When right-clicking on the Class Library project, the Syncfusion Reference Manager option itself is not visible to us on both Visual Studio 2022 and Visual Studio 2019. The Syncfusion Reference Manager tool option is active exclusively for WinForms and WPF Projects. We want to inform you that we have disabled the Syncfusion Reference Manager option for Class Library project as we already mentioned in our feedback link.

To better understand and address the issue, could you please share the below details of how you encountered the problem on your end?

  1. Could you share a video demonstrating the problem you're experiencing? This will help us better understand and address the issue.

  2. Which project you are using to use the Syncfusion Reference Manager?

  3. In Visual Studio, go to Extensions -> Manage Extensions -> Installed and search for the Syncfusion extensions by providing the keyword “syncfusion" in the search box. Share the screenshot of that dialog.

  4. In Visual Studio go to Help - About Microsoft Visual Studio and click the Copy info button, then paste the information into a text file and share it.

  5. Gather log file. Please follow the steps in the link  to get the Gather log file.

Additionally, for more detailed information about our Syncfusion Reference Manager tool, please consult the documentation provided below.

Hi,

I reverted to the previous version and it works fine, I then uninstalled that one and reinstalled the latest version and it is working fine. Not sure why it did not work previously.

Thanks,

Shaun
