Adding a SplitContainerAdv to a form causes Visual Studio 2022 to hang and then crash

I'm running Visual Studio 2022 Version 17.0.4 on Windows 11 Pro. I have Syncfusion Essential Studio 19.4.0.38 installed.

Whenever I try to add a SplitContainerAdv control to a form, Visual Studio hangs for a few seconds and then exits and relaunches without giving me an error message. I've tried with a few other Syncfusion controls (SfButton, TabSplitterContainer), and they were added to the form without any issues.

I've attached the "ActivityLog.xml" file generated by Visual Studio, if that's any help.

Edit:  I just discovered that the issue also occurs on Windows 10.
