How to enable spell checker in Rich text editor?

Hello,

Does syncfusion rich text editor control has a spell checking feature?

If yes then how to enable it?

If no then any clue how to achieve spell check?

We have validated your query “How to enable spell checker in Rich text editor?” 

 

Currently, we don’t have the required feature support in our component. But we have already considered this as a feature request and will be implemented in any of our upcoming release. Since we don’t have an immediate plan to implement this feature.

But, You can achieve it from application end by using a third-party library.

Integrate a spell checker

If you would like to check spelling and grammatical issues while you type in the content area of our Angular Rich Text Editor component, you can do so by integrating a third-party library, WebSpellChecker, which provides a cloud spell-checking service.  

Download the trial or paid version of WebSpellChecker and you will receive an activation key in your registered email. This is mandatory to initialize and configure the spell checking in the application.  

1. Add the WebSpellChecker WProofreader script reference in your index.html page.

2. Now, initialize the WebSpellChecker within the index.html page using the Windows configuration variable along with its other required options such as autoSearch, enableGrammar, and serviceId.

Spell check implemented in Rich Text Editor  

Note: Only when the serviceId option is assigned with a valid activation key will the spell-checking functionality work in the Rich Text Editor.

Hi Sandhya Soman,

We have considered the request "Spellcheck support for the JavaScript Rich Text Editor" as an uncertain feature and it will be implemented in any one of the future volume releases.

Generally, we will plan the feature implementation based on the customer request count, feature rank, and wishlist plan. You can upvote the feature request feedback so that it gets support and will be ranked higher for implementation.

what is the expected timeline to get this spell check in rich text editor will come live ? any rough estimates. 
I request you to please take this as into must have feature priority.

people use rich text editor for communication and commit spell or grammatical mistakes most of the time.
