Content per NavigationItem / SfNavigationDrawer

Hi Team :),

maybe I missed something in your documentation but I'm trying to figure out how to put content for each NavigationItem using MVVM.

Let's say:

  • NavigationItem 1: Entry
  • NavigationItem 2Button + Entry
  • tbc
Examples I found in your documentation usually have one contentview with a label for each NavigationItem.

Can you give some advise please, thank you.

Kind regards,
Calogero

Hi Calogero,

Greetings from Syncfusion.

We have analyzed your requirement. We have prepared a sample using SfNavigationDrawer. When we click each item in this sample, the content of the ContentView changes.

Please have a sample for your reference,

Sample: https://www.syncfusion.com/downloads/support/directtrac/general/ze/NavigationDrawer_NavigationItem-499914220

Please check if the sample satisfies your requirement and let us know if you have any concerns.

Regards,
Suganya Sethuraman.

Hi Suganya,

This is a good example of how to implement page navigation. I was looking for something like this in the WPF documentation for NavigationDrawer but couldn't find any. The documentation is good for explaining the basic layout and attributes but the concept of implementing the DelegateCommand and Viewmodel with the ContentControl is very far from obvious. I used your pattern on UserControls instead of MvxViews and it worked straight away.

Best regards,
