Diagram item complexity

Once an item has been dragged onto the Diagram board how much interactivity with an item is possible.  For example, can an item be clicked and launch a modal?

on the further analysis of the shared details, we understood you want to launch a model(dialog) when click on the node. Please refer to the following sample for how to render a diagonal when we click on the diagram. Instead of dialog we can render any component when clicking on the diagram.
