Question

Hi i would just like to know, my charts have a lot of data points and when panning or zooming the charts are not very smooth any reason why this could be or anything i could have a look at that may improve the performance of the charts?

Does the chart repaint with every point it adds? and if so how can i make it that it will only paint once with all the data points?

Hi Werner, 
 
We have analyzed your query and would like to tell you that we have drawn the line series by individual segments for every data point whereas for the FastLine series we have drawn as a single segment after processing the whole data points and so the performance of the FastLine is better than the line series. 
In addition to that, while adding the data source dynamically to the series, instead of process and draw the whole data points we only processed and draw the newly adding data points alone by using the updateDataSource method. To know more about this, you can refer to the help document.
