euro symbol disappear in forms

Hi,

I've a process that fill  some form fields in pdf.

When I set flatten  to true, the € symbol disappear, but if i set flatten to false, the symbol appear

For fill the form value I set the a true type font. My code is

PdfFont font = new PdfTrueTypeFont(fontStream, 8, PdfFontStyle.Bold);
field.BorderWidth = 0;
field.Font = font;
field.Text = precioS.Descripcion;
field.Flatten = false;

What is wrong?

We were able to reproduce the reported issue with provided details in our end. Currently, we are validating on this and we will update the further details on April 7th,  2021.   

However, kindly please share the input document, output document, complete code snippet with font to validating this issue on our end. So, that it will be helpful for us to analyze and assist you further on this.

Hi,

I attach an example code. In page 2 I write the text in forms (now when flatten the font is load wrong)

I think that when I set flat the form, it doesn't use my specific font

We were able to reproduce the reported font rendering issue with provided sample in our end. As we said earlier, we are validating on this and we will update the further details on April 7th,  2021.

We have confirmed that the issue “Text rendering issues while filling the form fields with Euro characters in the existing PDF document" is a defect. We will update the patch for this issue on April 14th, 2021.

Due to complexities in this reported issue, we are still working on this issue “Text rendering issues while filling the form fields with Euro characters in the existing PDF document" and we will update the patch for this issue in this version 19.1.0.54 on April 19th, 2021.

Thank you for your patience.  
 
We have fixed the issue with “Text rendering issues while filling the form fields with Euro characters in the existing PDF document”. The patch for this fix can be downloaded from the following location. 

Recommended approach - exe will perform automatic configuration 
Please find the patch setup from below  

Advanced approach – use only if you have specific needs and can directly replace existing assemblies for your build environment 
Please find the patch assemblies alone from below  


The status of this bug can be tracked through the following feedback link,  

Assembly Version: 19.1.0.54 

Installation Directions : 
This patch should replace the files “Syncfusion.Pdf.Portable.dll” under the following folder. 
$system drive:\ Files\Syncfusion\Essential Studio\19.1.0.54\precompiledassemblies\19.1.0.54\4.5 
Eg : $system drive:\Program Files\Syncfusion\Essential Studio\19.1.0.54\precompiledassemblies\19.1.0.54\4.5 

To automatically run the Assembly Manager, please check the Run assembly manager checkbox option while installing the patch. If this option is unchecked, the patch will replace the assemblies in precompiled assemblies’ folder only. Then, you will have to manually copy and paste them to the preferred location or you will have to run the Syncfusion Assembly Manager application (available from the Syncfusion Dashboard, installed as a shortcut in the Application menu) to re-install assemblies. 

Note
To change how you receive bug fixes, ask your license management portal admin to change your project’s patch delivery mode.

Please note that we have created this patch for version 19.1.0.54 specifically to resolve the following issue(s) reported in this/the forum 164131 
 
This fix will be included in our Volume 1 SP1 release which will be available on mid of May 2021 tentatively.
