Scheduler - Timeline Day - Spanned event indicator icon overlapping content

Hi,

Been playing around with the Scheduler control, using an EventTemplate for each timeline view to display just the subject.
This works fine for the most part, however, when an appointment spanning multiple days is displayed on the Timeline Day view, the appointment is displayed as a solid blue colour and just the left indicator icon is displayed. Clicking on this icon starts a resize process and after dragging my cursor it changes the appointment back to red with my C19 subject on it, although the appointment then shows twice (Presumably having been duplicated).

What is the cause of the indicator icon being displayed over the top of my EventTemplate and is there a way to disable it? I can't see anything in the documentation.

Thanks in advance.

Example below showing the event spanning multiple days in Timeline Week, followed by Timeline Day:

Timeline Week -

Timeline Day -

Hi Lee,

Greetings from Syncfusion Support..!

We have validated your reported query "Scheduler - Timeline Day - Spanned event indicator icon overlapping content" at our end and suspect that your need is to remove the scheduler current time indicator. We let you know that it can be possible by making use of the ShowTimeIndicator property. We have prepared a sample for your reference which can be downloaded from the following link.

Index.razor:
<SfSchedule TValue="AppointmentData" Height="650px" CurrentView="View.TimelineWeek" ShowTimeIndicator="false">
    <ScheduleViews>
        <ScheduleView Option="View.Week"></ScheduleView>
        <ScheduleView MaxEventsPerRow="10" Option="View.TimelineDay"></ScheduleView>
        <ScheduleView Option="View.TimelineWeek" MaxEventsPerRow="10"></ScheduleView>
        <ScheduleView MaxEventsPerRow="10" Option="View.TimelineWorkWeek"></ScheduleView>
        <ScheduleView MaxEventsPerRow="11" Option="View.TimelineMonth"></ScheduleView>
    </ScheduleViews>
</SfSchedule>

If we misunderstood your requirement, kindly share the below details to serve you better?
  • Replicate the issue in the above sample
  • Share issue replicating sample if possible
  • Share schedule related code snippets
  • Share the issue depicting video

Hi Satheesh,

Thank you for a quick response. I have tried that one but that just gets rid of the vertical line showing the current time, don't mind that line think it is quite helpful.

It is this indicator, highlighted below with ShowTimeIndicator set to false:

This only appears on the Timeline Day view, couldn't find any info on it in the documentation. I can style the e-icons class to 0px height and that then hides the blue but I am left with an icon on the appointment like so:

Is there any way to disable the icon completely?

Hi Lee,

Thanks for your update.

We have checked your requirement and hide the left and right indicator denoted on spanned events using the following code snippets. You can refer the same in the following sample.

<style>
    .e-schedule .e-timeline-view .e-appointment .e-left-icon,
    .e-schedule .e-timeline-view .e-appointment .e-right-icon,
    .e-schedule .e-timeline-month-view .e-appointment .e-left-icon,
    .e-schedule .e-timeline-month-view .e-appointment .e-right-icon {
        display: none;
    }
</style>

The purpose of the indicators is to denote that the appointment is spanned to next/previous days. If you are hiding the indicators with above CSS, you can’t identify it as spanned events in UI.

Please try the solution and let us know whether this meets your requirement.

Nevitha
