Text truncated in EditControl
We have some text read in from a file that gets truncated in Editcontrol when using CustomLanguage.
/// To Reproduce:
/// run this app, copy the content of file
OX_22900step (in lib folder) into the edit control - there is no line break in
this file
/// It shows one line with only partial text -
this happens when using custom language, if you comment out the code in
MainWindow_Loaded it displays fine
/// then check the "XML" check box,
the text is mostly displayed but the end ("/></PackagedRecipe>") is truncated,
this is regardless of using custom language or not
Do you think this is a correctable issue?

Hi Steve,
Thank you for the patience.
We have fixed the reported behavior with Editcontrol and patch for the same can be downloaded from following links.
|
Recommended approach - exe will perform automatic configuration.
Please find the patch setup from below location:
Assemblies Link:
|
Assembly Version: 18.4.0.30
Installation Directions:
This patch should replace the files "Syncfusion.Edit.WPF” under the following folder.
$system drive:\ Files\Syncfusion\Essential Studio\$Version # \precompiledassemblies\$Version#\[TargetFramework]
Eg : $system drive:\Program Files\Syncfusion\Essential Studio\18.4.0.30\precompiledassemblies\18.4.0.30\4.6
To automatically run the Assembly Manager, please check the Run assembly manager checkbox option while installing the patch. If this option is unchecked, the patch will replace the assemblies in precompiled assemblies’ folder only. Then, you must manually copy and paste them to the preferred location or you must run the Syncfusion Assembly Manager application (available from the Syncfusion Dashboard, installed as a shortcut in the Application menu) to re-install assemblies.
Please try this patch and let us know if it is resolved at your end.

The issue seems to be fixed now when using newest version 18.4.0.30 with patch.
The current released version of my application is still using 18.2.0.44, however.
I assume I cannot just use the new Edit.Wpf.dll with that older version of Syncfusion.
Is it possible to provide the same fix for version 18.2.0.44 ?
If not, I will have to upgrade my application to 18.4.0.30
