Hi Fabrizio,
Thank you for using Syncfusion products.
We have created a simple HTML with Font Awesome icons and converted to PDF using an HTML converter. The reported icon preservation issue is reproduced in our end.
We internally make use of Qt WebKit rendering engine for converting HTML to PDF. Qt WebKit rendering engine preserves the output PDF document like how the input HTML file/URL is displayed on the WebKit based web browsers (safari). This issue occurs in the Qt WebKit source itself.
On further analysis about Font Awesome 5 Icons are preserved italic in WebKit rendering engine itself. We have tried with Font Awesome 4 Icons, then the icons are preserved properly in the output PDF document. We have shared both HTML files (Font Awesome 4 and 5 icons) and output document for your reference. To overcome this issue, we are suggested you try the Font Awesome 4 Icons in the HTML source for the conversion. Kindly try the above suggestion in your end and let me know if it suits your requirement.
Please find the below link,
If you are facing the same issue with Font Awesome 4 Icons, kindly provide more details such as complete input HTML file/URL (with all resources styles, scripts, etc.,), complete code snippet, product version to check the issue in our end. So, that it will be helpful for us to analyze and assist you further on this.
Regards,
