Edit grid on single click and change format of cell currently being edited

Hello Syncfusion Support,

I am seeking for help on how I can enable editing on a single click in grid in Batch Mode, in Syncfusion EJ2 (ASP.NET MVC)

The other help is how to how expand the size of a cell currently being edited on click .Currently, when I click, the cell being edited, it does not change to

a different format and does not expand in size but rather it just draws a small underline (Shown in screenshot as number 2) which I want to change to expanding the height of the cell and its appearance.

All these should be attained on a single mouse click but currently my grid allows editing on double click .So I would like to change it to single

click.

Query #2: How expand the size of a cell currently being edited on click 

 

By default, we have provided the support for batch edit cell to shown same size of grid cell. We need to confirm that you want resize the height/width in batch editing  grid cell or change the grid cell height/width by  initial rendering. 

Please share your exact requirement to us that will help to validate further.

Thank You Syncfusion Support Team, For Query number 2 (How to expand the size of a cell currently being edited on click ), My requirement is to resize the height/width in batch editing  grid cell (That is: Only the height and width of the cell currently being edited should change the height/width).

Hi Ssekamatte, 

Thanks for your update. 

We are able to change the grid cell height/width while editing using cellEditTemplate. In cellEditTemplate, we can bind custom component in the edit cell(ex: dropdownlist , autocomplete, numeric textbox) with enable that component require properties(ex: width, height, etc..). Since Grid edit cell render based on rowcell height. Please refer the below Help Documentation for more information.
