sfchart fast functionality with spline series

Hello,
I have a chart in my app with 3 spline series, the problem is that I have a large number of points, so when I try to zoom the chart it updates veeery slowly,  so I switched to FastLineSeries, the functionality is OK and zooming is fast enough, but problem is that in FastLineSeries there are some edges in my lines, I mean the lines are not as smooth as the SpLineSeries, so what I need is the SpLineSeries with FastLineSeries functionality, is that possible? I have also attached the screenshots of using both series.

Thanks in advance

Hi Reihaneh Khaksaran,

Greetings from Syncfusion, we have analyzed your query, currently we do not have support for FastSplineSeries but if you could provide us the information on how many data points you need to plot on a series, then we can able to check the possibilities of extending the FastLineSeries to have smooth edges.

Thanks,
Michael

Thanks for  your  reply,

Currently I have 1000 data points, if I use 2000 points there won't be any edges, but I want it to work with 1000 and less data points.
The zooming speed with SpLineSeries and more than 500 data points is really frustrating, and with 1000 data points and FastLineSeries, I have almost pointy lines(which is not what I want) I'd really appreciate if you could provide FastLineSeries with smooth edges.

Thank you very much,
Best regards,
Reihaneh

Hi Reihaneh Khaksaran,

There is a feasibility to achieve this requirement by extending FastLineSeries. Currently we are preparing the sample. So, we will update you the sample on 28th September, 2018.

Thanks,
Michael

Have you updated a sample? I don't see anything attached

Hi Reihaneh,

Sorry for the delay.

We are facing some issues in workaround sample. We will update sample without fail before October 1, 2018.

Thanks,
 Karthikeyan V

Hi Reihaneh,

Apologize for the delay, we have tried to achieve your requirement as a workaround but we are afraid we couldn’t get a generic solution, so we are considering the requirement to draw a fast spline series as a feature request and logged it into our system. While this feature itself is important, we cannot provide you an exact timeline on this, so this feature will be available in any one of our upcoming Volume releases.

Thanks,

Karthikeyan V

Oh, OK then I think I'm gonna have to use SpLineSeries with a few number of points until the update.
Thank you very much and I hope the timeline won't be so long
Regards,
Reihaneh

Hi,

is there any update on this? or can you give me an approximate timeline?

Thank you,
Reihaneh

Hi Reihaneh,

Greetings from Syncfusion.

We don’t have any immediate plans to implement this feature.  At the planning stage for every release cycle, we review all open features.  We will let you know when this feature is implemented.

Thanks,
Michael
