How to convert existing pdf to PDF/A-1b

Hi,

According to changelog from version 16.1.0.32 support was added to convert pdf to PDF/A-1b.

Please explain how to do this.

Also please provide some information on impacts hereof. Are there any drawbacks in such conversions and can they to assessed before doing the conversion, e.g. asking loadeddocument.CanConvertToConformance("PDF/A-1b") or similar.

Best regards,
Johannes

If I understand correct - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PDF/A - PDF/A-1b does not support layers nor transparency.

Thus, already I foresee the need for PDF/A-2b, which should support those.

Please log a feature request for PDF/A-2b convertion.

Best regards,

Maybe you already know the exact ETA for PDF to PDF/A2B and PDF/A3B features? Our company needs such a solution and I am not sure should I look somewhere else or wait and propose your products which seems a good fit for our requirements.
