ASP.NET: Web Site or Web Application?

Hi im creating an ASP.NET Web Application and i would like to know if i can use the Web Application project model or should i use the Web Site project model as is written in the Documentation.
Im using VS 2010 Professional.

Web sites are dynamically compiled and source is distributed with them. Web Applications can be compiled into a single DLL and deployed. Each has diffrent purposes and we suggest you to go through the below given forum links to get more details on your requirement,
