Overview
In this video, we will explore the features of the Syncfusion® Blazor DatePicker component. This component allows users to select dates using an interactive calendar pop-up or by directly entering them into a text box. In the Blazor DatePicker, you can add custom placeholders, such as “Select a date,” to guide users in the expected input.
The DatePicker component lets you restrict date selection to within minimum and maximum dates and disable specific dates, like weekends or holidays. Built-in validation ensures accuracy by displaying error messages when users try to pick dates that have been disabled.
For specialized use cases, the DatePicker can be transformed into a Month Picker or Year Picker, allowing quick selection of billing cycles, birth years, or fiscal periods. It also supports culture-specific formats, enabling localized date displays, and customizing the start of the week to cater to different schedules. The layout can be displayed right to left for languages like Hebrew and Arabic.
With its high level of built-in responsiveness, the DatePicker delivers optimal performance across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices, supporting touch gestures for smaller screens. It comes with themes such as Material, Bootstrap, and Tailwind CSS, but these can be fully customized using CSS to align with your application’s design. Accessibility is a priority, and the Blazor DatePicker adheres to WAI-ARIA standards, supporting keyboard navigation and screen readers.
