Hi Jody,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Could you please share the following information so that we could analyze the problem in detail?

1)Did the error occur in Dashboard or during installation process?
2)Did you install ASP.NET MVC 2 or MVC 3 in your machine?

Please let me know if you have any concerns.

Hi,

1.when I open the dashboard, in the lower right corner there is information that I need to have administrator level access (which I already do, since I am the admin on my system).
2. I did install MVC 3

Another thing is that when I try to run locally installed samples I get this error which makes me close the dashboard:

EventType : clr20r3 P1 : startsamplebrowsermvc.exe P2 : 1.0.0.0
P3 : 4da8c146 P4 : mscorlib P5 : 2.0.0.0 P6 : 4d352e63 P7 : 3604
P8 : 40b P9 : system.argumentexception

Thanks.

Hi,

This is a show-stopper for us.
Can anybody put some light on this?

Thanks!

Hi Jody,

Thanks for the update.

Q) when I open the dashboard, in the lower right corner there is information that I need to have administrator level access.

This is only a general information that pops up since some of the Syncfusion utilities require admin level access to access the registry values and to place the Syncfusion assemblies into the GAC. This will not cause any problem in your installed machine

Q) when I try to run locally installed samples I get this error which makes me close the dashboard

It seems the correct version of Syncfusion assemblies does not exist in GAC location. In order to resolve the issue, could you please run the assembly manager and install the corresponding version of Syncfusion assemblies into GAC?

Please follow the below help article to run the assembly manager.

http://help.syncfusion.com/UG/Common/Documents/621assemblymanager.htm

After installing the assemblies, please run the samples and it should be working fine.

Please let me know if you have any concerns.

Regards,
Vinoth M

Hi,

No luck yet.
First I did install of the available version. No change.
Then I removed all versions. No change.
Again I installed the available version with no change. I am still getting the error: EventType : clr20r3 P1 : startsamplebrowsermvc.exe P2 : 1.0.0.0
P3 : 4da8c146 P4 : mscorlib P5 : 2.0.0.0 P6 : 4d352e63 P7 : 3604
P8 : 40b P9 : system.argumentexception

What I have noticed is that all I have is only one option in Select Asembly Type area, and that is the last one (Pre-built version of assemblies shipped with Essential Studio).

Please advise,

thanks!

EX: C:\Users\vinothm\AppData\Local\Syncfusion\EssentialStudio\9.1.0.24\Config

2)Remove the IIS value from the both files.

Hello Vinoth,

I am still having trouble configuring it.
There is no

C:\Users\{users name}\AppData\Local\Syncfusion\Essential Studio\{Essential Studio version}\Config

in my installation.

The other file contains this:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv

4.5.6001.22299

8.0

I am trying to evaluate this tool, to see what it can do, but I am having trouble even to install it.
Where can I find information regarding it, what it can be used for, and what can it do?

Thanks.

This was even worst.

After making change you proposed if I would open dashboard all I would get was VB Debugger form asking me do I want to use it to debug the problem.

I don't know did you realize (I mentioned several days ago), but there is no syncfusion/essential Studio/9.1.0.24/Config folder in my installation at all. Wouldn't this make a difference if there is no whole \Config folder?

Anyway, this is taking more than 2 (two) weeks now, just to install the program given by Syncfusion to try it, and I believe that this is more than enough from me.

Have a nice day.

Hi Jody,

We regret for the inconvenience caused.

Q) I don't know did you realize (I mentioned several days ago), but there is no syncfusion/essential Studio/9.1.0.24/Config folder in my installation at all.

Yes. This is not the correct folder. But in my last update I had mentioned that the location is “C:\Syncfusion\9.1.0.24\Config”.

The following line from your installinfo file shows the samples path available in your System. Could you please check the same?

"C:\Syncfusion\9.1.0.24\"

If you face any problem after you change the modification , could you please let me know your convenient time for a goto meeting so that we can look at the issue in detail?

We need to take a look at the sample browser issue in your system so that It will help us to understand the issue better.

Please let me know if you have any concerns.

Vinoth M
