v2.0 side-by-side with v1.6.x

Does installing the v2.0 beta affect the existing installation of v1.6.x? I''d like to take a look at the new version, but I don''t want to use it in production code until it becomes stable.

You can do a side by side install, and then use the Assembly Manager (from the Syncfusion Start Menu) to switch versions. You will need to maintain your 1.6.1.x projects separate as 2.0 has things like new interfaces and changed names that will not allow projects created and edited with 2.0 to be used under 1.6.1.x (without changing things back).

It is not clear to me why I should use the assembly manager. Don''t the assemblies have different version numbers and are they since not able to be in the assembly cache together? Can''t I have both set of controls in the toolbox in VS?
