Is it possible to use the OLAP functionality in the grid without being bound to a database?

I am working with a non-sql database and would like to pass a DataTable containing pre-aggregated data to the grid and use the pivot/olap features.

Hi Tom,

Binding IList to Olap Controls:

Thank you for your interest in Syncfusion products. Our Essential BI OLAP Grid supports any IList supportable datasource, we have implemented this feature recently and its available in our development source. You can convert your data table to IList and you can load the data. Please open a new Direct trac incident, so that we can provide a custom patch with this feature.

Please feel to contact us if you need further assistance.

Regards,
Dwaragesh

We've recently downloaded the latest 8.0 release and I was looking for some sample code that demonstrates using an unbound datasource (ILIST) and attaching it to the OLAP Grid.

In this environment, would the OLAP grid do all of the sub-totaling and grand totals ?

Thanks,
Tasnim

Hi Tasnim,

You can have look on our sample installed locally (or) online,

Local sample path:
AppData\Local\Syncfusion\EssentialStudio\
8.1.0.30\BI\Web\OlapGrid.Web\Samples\3.5\Creating Reports\Custom Collection Demo

Online sample link:
Custom Collection Demo

Well in our OLAP Grid we support grouping and subtotals, but grand total is not available can I know how critical grand total feature is for you.?

Thanks
