Error 117 in Acrobat Reader (8.0 and 9.0) after document merge

Hi,

We downloaded today a trial version of SyncFusion and we have an issue when merging some PDF documents.

Here is our need : we have several PDF documents streams that we merge into one PDF document stream with SyncFusion, then we save it do disk.

Here is the issue : the resulting PDF document seems to be well formed and merged because we can open and view it with Foxit Reader (free PDF reader), the document can be opened with Acrobat Reader (8.0 and 9.0) but a 117 error occurs when we reach the 3th page (corresponding to a picture converted to a PDF document before being merged)

Does anyone have the same issue or a 117 error in Acrobat Reader with a merged document ?

Best regards,

Florian

Hi Florian

Thank you for your interest in Syncfusion products,

I am afraid that I was not able to reproduce the reported issue in our side . Please check the working sample in the link below location ,

http://files.syncfusion.com/support/PDF.Windows/F90266/Merge.zip

Please have a look at the above sample and if still the issue exists,

Could you please try to reproducing it in the above sample or send us few pdf documents so that we could sort out the cause of the issue and provide you a solution?

RegardS,
Thiru

Hi,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Your application sample work greats, but doesn't fit exactly with our environnement. Here is our process :

- We have a lot of files (Word, Excel, pictures, etc.) on a foreign server
- We have an access to these file via HTTP requests, returning us a stream -> byte[] (the same way we could get a stream from a local file)
- We are converting these streams into PDF streams using a third party library
- We test that all PDF streams are OK by saving theme individually to disk
- All PDF streams are merged with SyncFusion into a single PDF stream
- We save the single PDF stream into disk

The results :

- All our tests are OK with PDF, Word, Excel, text
- We have a 117 error with a PDF having at least one GIF file converted to PDF and merged into the final PDF file (the GIF file converted to PDF is itself good on disk)

Any idea ?

Hi Florian,

I regret for the inconvenience caused.

We fear that we are not able to reproduce the issue in our testing environment. Could you please update us with the PDF documents which causing the issue so that we could sort out the cause of the issue and proceed further?
