Is Syncfusion.Shared.Windows.dll really needed to deploy Essential Edit?

Hello,

The documentations says the following DLL are needed to deploy Essential Edit:

• Syncfusion.Core.dll

• Syncfusion.Shared.Base.dll

• Syncfusion.Shared.Windows.dll

• Syncfusion.Edit.Windows.dll

However, it seems that Syncfusion.Shared.Windows.dll is not really needed. Can anyone confirm this?

Regards,

Alain

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in Syncfusion Essential Studio.

Yes, you need to include Syncfusion.Shared.Windows.dll while deploying the application using EditControl.

Thanks for your answer. What kind of problems should we expect if we don't ship Syncfusion.Shared.Windows.dll? Everything seems to work fine.

Alain

Hi,

I regret for the inconvenience caused.

Syncfusion.Edit.Windows source uses Syncfusion.Shared.Windows.dll as a reference. It will not affect the deployment. But in general it is recommended to ship the Syncfusion.Shared.Windows.dll as it is one of the dependancies of Edit. If your deployment is size constraint, you can ignore this dll.
