Visual Studio Toolbox

Can anyone tell me if there is a section in the Visual Studio toolbox for the ASP.NET MVC tools? I have reinstalled a bunch of times as well as using the assembly manager and every other way i know possible. I've noticed in the manager tool the winforms etc. versions have an "install in toolbox" kind of section but i dont see that for asp.net mvc.
Thanks
Jason

Hi Jason,

ASP.NET MVC controls are usually HtmlExtensions. They do not appear on the Toolbox for use on a design surface. The online documentation for Syncfusion Essential Tools MVC Edition contains information on adding controls to your ASP.NET MVC application.

THe given link doesn't seem to work. I've tried manually adding the controls to the VS Toolbox (Visual Studio 2013) but I get the message 'Controls added but will not be shown in the toolbox'.  Happens on both CSHTML and HTML pages.

Hi Veron,

Sorry about the inconvenience caused.

As mentioned earlier, ASP.NET MVC controls are usually HtmlExtensions and they do not appear on the Toolbox for use on a design surface. Since we have launched newer set of ASP.NET MVC controls powered by javascript, we have marked older MVC controls prior to our release 12.1 as MVC Classic.

Adding the Syncfusion ASP.NET MVC Classic Tools product to your application - http://help.syncfusion.com/ug/asp.net%20mvc/documents/howtoaddessentialtoo.htm

Complete documentation for all our products - http://syncfusion.com/library

Please let us know if you require further assistance.
