Could not instantiate ActiveX control

Hi,

I am developing a Window Service application in .Net using VB.Net and it refers some

controls, which is placed on a WinForm. While it calls/refer that, it prompt error "Could not instantiate ActiveX control 'xxxx' because the current thread is not in a single-threaded apartment"

I have seen many places, the GUI cannot be placed on Windows Service, but my requirement should be.

Even I try to compile that form alone as a stand-alone exe and try to call thro this service

using Shell() function. It reports error "Data Type Conversion and cannot be inititialized"

Can anyone help on this?
