How to disable highlighting a particular line while using OrthogonalLinkTool tool

Hi,
I am using "OrthogonalLinkTool" to make connections between ports in a custom created graphical symbol that contains in addition to ports (ConnectionPoint), lines (Line) as well. When I move the cursor over a line or port inside the symbol, both ports as well as lines get highlighted. How to disable highlighting lines?
