Ribbon in VS2008

Is the ribbon supposed to render correctly in the design view in VS2008? When I click on the design view, I only see an empty window, but when I compile, I see the Application window and the ribbonbars etc. I have to edit the xaml code directly.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Devon,

Thanks for your interests in Syncfusion products.

Currently the designer support of the Ribbon instance is in implementation status. That is the reason the Ribbon preview does not appear inside the Visual Studio 2008 WPF designer. Our engineers are working hard in this feature with highest level of priority and it will be available in our VOL-4 refresh release which is scheduled on last week of November. We are sure that all your design related requirements can be easily achieve using XAML coding as Ribbon instance API's are very user friendly and easy to use.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,
Bala.
