Grey box appearing when GridGroupingControl is created

I have put a Grid grouping control (5.202.0.25) on to a form with no further configuration of the grid being done yet.

When the line of code below is executed in the InitializeComponent section of the form a grey rectangle is briefly displayed. (even if this.SuspendLayout is called first)

this.gridGroupingControl1 = new Syncfusion.Windows.Forms.Grid.Grouping.GridGroupingControl(engine);

Is there a way to create a new instance of the grid without this flickering happening ?
