Hi,

will it ever be possible to generate table of contents programmatically (like Document.TablesOfContents.Add()) If yes: when will this feature be available?

Is it at the moment at least - as a temporary solution - possible to manipulate/update an existing TableOfContent?

Best regards
Christian

Hi Christian,

Issue 1:(generate table of contents programmatically)
-------

Currently it is not possible to generate table of contents programmatically. We can only preserve existing Table of contents. Already we have logged a Feature request regarding this issue. We will implement this feature in our forthcoming new version releases or service pack releases. We usually have a timeframe of at least three months between releases. The feature implementation would also greatly depend on the factors like product design, code compatibility and complexity. We will get back to you once the feature is implemented.

Issue 2:(possible to manipulate/update an existing TableOfContent)
---------

We do not provide support to manipulate/update an existing TableOfContent.

Kindly let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Melba
