getting a font format from the current loaded custom config file

We are going to do some in-line 'error marking' at runtime. We have the code to mark things errors, but we want to use the style called 'Errors' that we created in our custom xml config file.

So in theory we should be able to get
editControl1.Language.Formats...

And somewhere in here find the style called 'Errors' and get it's format information and set the text we've identified as 'needing to be marked an error' to that color.

Is there a simple method call to get this format?
