It seems that version 1.6.1.1 of the tab strip now translates '&' chars in the TabPage text. Is this the new "correct" behavior? Granted it is in line with the WinForm TabControl, but I'm just wondering if the change is permanent.

Yes, the tab control will now respond to mnemonics (specified via the & prefix) in the tabs, in accordance with the .net tab control.
